Voce Velata welcomes intermediate to advanced string, keyboard, and woodwind players, ages 11-22 ​to audition for placement.

For the 2023-24 Season, 6-week project modules will be offered to players wanting to join as collaborators.

Project Module 1: Oct 21-Dec 14, 2023

Audition Requirements:

Scales: one major, one minor; two octaves
-
Solo: One movement from solo work that demonstrates the musician's technical and musical facility.

How much time is the commitment??
Core Ensemble:
-
2-hour weekly rehearsals Oct-May (with scheduled breaks)

2-5 performance commitments (final concert required)

30 minute minimum personal practice each week

30 minutes to 1-hour non-practice work per week (research, writing/ reflection, arts admin tasks, etc)
Collaborative Modules:

2-hour weekly rehearsals for 8 weeks

These are estimates only. As opportunities arise and projects are developed, members might be asked to extend rehearsals or be invited to partake in master classes, attend concerts or similar opportunities.
*Module 1 and 2 may also be invited to the May concert with Module 3.
